Paper: 2D MXene-based transistors with Enhanced Device Performance via 2D Liquid Intercalation
We worked on developing MXene based transistors. MXene "MXene is a new class of graphene like two-dimensional transition metal carbon (nitrogen) compounds obtained by selectively etching specific atomic layers from multiple layered carbon (nitrogen) compounds." It is a possible candidate as a new transistor gate material.
I worked on developing a fast and eco-friendly method to transfer MXene films at the wafer scale (4-inch), allowing them to be used in advanced microelectronics. I performed tests, ran analysis, and wrote much of the methodology, focusing on how MXene films could improve device performance through interface engineering. The process enabled significant improvements in carrier transfer efficiency by using hydrogen iodide intercalation.
